LABEL was set up in early 2007 as a Jazz and experimental label but will now also be looking at releasing more mainstream things as well. The emphasis being originality and invention in composition. LABEL runs imprints all with a Dance theme,they deals in Commercial & Funky HOUSE while KLONE releases NRG/POP/DANCE. Director, Ann, says she is looking for tracks at the moment for licensing onto a compilation and also Funky House tracks, either new original songs or up to date covers of classic tunes. MANAGEMENT is a new outfit based in Manchester. Run by a Record Producer and DJ who has had many dance music tracks (mainly progressive house and trance) released on a number of labels during the past decade. Mark is interested in all commercial genres but is obviously biased towards Dance genres, given his background. Submissions from anywhere in the world can be sent via email or CD.

SONGWRITER/PRODUCER has got back to me again after last month's feature to say she needs top female vocalists to join the production team to create demos of potential chart hits (mainly dance/pop – but all commercial chart styles) which will then be pitched to artists and labels. No session fees paid, but equal writers shares for all vocalists. The team works as a “virtual studio” – emailing ideas back and forth – so its essential that any interested vocalists must have the ability to record and email their own vocals to the production team who will then mix the vocals into the final demos. EUROPEAN LABEL works in diverse styles such as WORLD Music, ETHNO POP, AMBIENT WORLD, WORLD TRANCE, WORLD JAZZ, FUSION, ELECTRONIC, JAZZ, LOUNGE, CHILLOUT and some POP/ROCK. Label Manager, Heike, says they have been running since 1987 and are distributed by Rough Trade in Germany and many others throughout the world. LABEL is looking for suitable songs but especially lyrics for a follow up to a critically acclaimed rock album by an established UK HARD ROCK Band, who are active in the UK, Europe and Japan/Far East. The band can work on music and arrangements but lyrics / ideas are required for band to work on or finished tracks. Modern classic hard rock style is needed but a killer power ballad would also be welcome in the the mix. US LABEL from Rialto, California, is dedicated to discovering and producing excellent INDIE artists. Submissions are welcome from anywhere in the world, on CD, with bio and photo, or via a link to your myspace page.

US PUBLISHER is currently compiling a catalog of music for television and film publishing, and looking for original songs to place in their many productions. Any genre recordings will do, but they must be on CD or DAT. They are unable to approve music through myspace links or emailed mp3s. CDs cannot be returned, but Dave will contact you ASAP if he thinks your material could work in one of their productions.

CANADIAN LABEL with a roster of METAL, ROCK and PUNK acts which was started in 2008. Distribution in Canada is through Sonic Unyon and in the USA by Deep. They say they only deal with bands who have great music and a proven work ethic through touring and self-promotion and who are ready to release a full album. Submissions are welcome from anywhere but would obviously love to discover a great band on their doorstep!

US PUBLISHER/LABEL pitching world-wide for movies, TV commercials, indie and major record labels, has been back in touch this month to say they are branching out into releasing compilations and are looking for tracks. Chas has been so happy with the POP/ROCK material he has received from the UK he plans to put out a best of the UK compilation once he has 13+ songs he believes in. He especially likes RETRO in the style of 70’s - 90’s bands like Elastica, Transvision Vamp, Squeeze and Tears For Fears. Chas is still interested in ALL genres for publishing/snyc especially modern R&B, Teen Pop and Dance. Demos must be professional standard, radio ready tracks - not just voice/guitar or voice piano.

US LABEL/PUBLISHER based in Chicago focusing on POP, ROCK and ELECTRONIC music from around the world. A&R Director, Anthony says that they have been around since 1993 and are distributed by Warner Music Group. US MANAGER/LABEL keeps a small roster of around three acts so he can do a good, honest job for them. Genre wise he is open to most commercial styles but he is only interested in artists who are a notch above the rest, with something unique to offer and willing to consider relocating to the USA.

US PRODUCTION CO is looking for a young USA Based, FEMALE VOCALIST / WRITER, with great voice, looks and star quality to collaborate with an established CA. producer on new projects leading to Flim & TV placements and possible label deals. The company has had over 150 songs published with different major publishing companies and has material placed on NBC, Paramount, White Water Films, UPN, FOX, HBO, MTV, many TV commercials, radio, film, and CD projects.
